Mr A.D.ACHUTHAKUMAR a gifted percussionist, drummer constantly states with great content and pleasure says that "Percussions, drums are my rhythms of my life".
He has done all the 8 grades in trinity college London.(Under the privileged coaching of Mr.MuraliKrishan in "jus drums"-school of percussions.)
At a tender age of twelve, he has worked in A.R.Rahman concerts.
He has a good experience in working with many instruments like the zildjian, pearl,roland,yamaha,bossetc.
He possess a variety of percussion collections like the udu,duff,timables,ulukai,etc
Playing the Indian percussions excites him the most and to stand apart in it has been his dream of life.
He effortlessly plays different styles like jazz, folk,classical andwestern. He known for making an unexpected and enthralling interaction with the audience with his percussions.
Having more than 1000concerts to his credit, like the times of India concert,IPL, Rotaract-hearts,Sangarsh, Chennai Sangamam, Chennai live concert he has his the enthusiasm and love for music increasing.
He is currently works in a band called "Pranetra" which is a brain child of his.A Chennai based band that performs various styles of music. The band has performed in "IDHAYAM THOTTA ISAIGNANI "a tribute show for the great maestro Illayaraja sir in Star Vijay tv!...
His works includes with various other bands like the Isaithulirgal, Staccato, Goldfish, Dynamic orchestra.
He has worked with many renowned artists such SPB sir,Chitra mam,Sivamani Sir,Airtel super singers just to name a few.
With a unique vision of listening,learning,developing, promoting and to teaching the fading Traditional Indian music to which he has dedicated a decade of his life……....
